His claim that DOGE saved $16 billion in government contracts, with nearly half from a single $8 billion contract with ICE that was actually for $8 million, is misleading. Furthermore, Musk's assertion that tens of millions of "dead people" are receiving fraudulent Social Security payments has been debunked by the Social Security Administration's inspector general. The firings orchestrated by Musk's DOGE have had far-reaching consequences, affecting critical government functions and agencies such as the National Nuclear Security Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This haphazard approach is not only chaotic but also dangerous, as it undermines essential oversight and public safety measures. I urge you to call Elon Musk to testify under oath to explain his actions and to hold him accountable for his reckless and unauthorized behavior. His conflict of interest across multiple government agencies is deeply troubling and demands immediate attention. Musk's involvement with companies like SpaceX and Tesla, which have significant government contracts, raises serious ethical concerns. Lastly, Musk's cuts, including his attack on Medicaid, appear to be a prelude to a massive tax cut for the wealthy, which would dramatically increase the federal budget deficit. This is unacceptable, and I urge you to take a stand against these harmful policies. Our government is meant to be of, by, and for the people.
