An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Help Mohammad Ibrahim

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

Mohammad Ibrahim is a 16 year old American boy who should be with his family in Florida right now. He should be going to school and hanging out with his friends. Unfortunately, he’s instead suffering in an Israeli prison (along with many other child prisoners). Mohammad was abducted in the middle of the night for the alleged charge of “throwing rocks.” To be clear, there hasn’t been evidence of this, let alone any sort of trial. And yet, the U.S. has allowed our country’s child to be held by a foreign country for around 8 months now. We even continue to give Israel whatever weapons they want. Our government leaders are visiting Israel, and none of them are even mentioning our own citizen. I urge you to do something about this. A very reasonable measure would be to support any policy that stops us from giving billions of dollars of weaponry to a foreign country that abducts our children. A number of representatives have signed onto a letter demanding Mohammad’s release, and I urge you to join them. There’s no reason we should be remaining silent while a foreign country is holding one of our children captive. We definitely shouldn’t be giving that country weapons.
