Impeach This unlawful authoritarian

I am writing to you as a deeply concerned citizen and constituent who believes in the foundational principles of our republic: the separation of powers, the sanctity of the Constitution, and the rule of law.
When the Supreme Court of the United States issues a ruling, it is not a suggestion—it is the law of the land. No president, regardless of party or popularity, has the authority to defy the Court or act above the Constitution. President Trump’s blatant refusal to comply with a lawful order from the Supreme Court is not just an outrage—it is a constitutional crisis in motion.
His actions represent a dangerous assault on our system of checks and balances and pose an existential threat to our democracy. We are not a nation of kings. If the President is allowed to openly disregard the judiciary, then the very idea of co-equal branches of government collapses.
Let’s be honest: if a Democratic president took the exact same lawless steps—willfully ignoring a Supreme Court decision—you would be calling for immediate impeachment. And you would be right to do so. The American people see this double standard. Upholding the Constitution should not be conditional on which party holds the presidency. It is a matter of principle, not partisanship.
You and your Republican colleagues swore an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution—not to defend unlawful behavior from anyone, regardless of party. That oath now demands courage and action. If President Trump continues to violate the Constitution and defy the Supreme Court, he must be impeached. Congress cannot sit idly by while executive power runs amok. The responsibility of the House is to be a co-equal branch of government and be a check on the executive branch. You and your Republican colleagues have neglected your responsibility to act, out of fear, or partisanship, which only you know. We are both veterans who took an oath to uphold the Constitution, I am upholding my oath by demanding accountability. What will you do? When I stood on those yellow footprints in San Diego and took my oath, I meant it, did you?
I urge you to lead—not follow. Demand accountability. Enforce the law. Uphold the Constitution. That means investigating this president's lawless behavior and pursuing impeachment if he continues to ignore the authority of the Supreme Court. History is watching, and so are your constituents.
