I’m writing again because you have done nothing to stop Donald Trump, and I am at my limit.
How can you swear an oath to protect your constituents and then consistently do the exact opposite—over and over and over again? It is absolutely infuriating to watch you sit on your hands while a wannabe dictator threatens our democracy, our safety, and our future. You are not being leaders. You are being cowards.
Trump is not some unstoppable force. He’s an 80-year-old man with a dangerous ego and a terrifying amount of enablers like you. Why are you letting yourselves be bullied by him? Why are you so afraid to take a stand?
Here’s the bottom line:
If you meant your oath, then act like it.
If you’re too scared to do your job, then get out of the way.
And if you keep choosing silence, complicity, and self-preservation, then you will not be re-elected. We are angry, we are paying attention, and we are done being polite about it.
I hope you find the courage you claim to have, because this moment demands it.
