Support Spark of Life Testimony in our state

I’m writing today to encourage you to support our sponsor legislation that includes “spark of life” testimony in all trials where the victim died as a result of the alleged crime that is being tried. We are seeing this play out in Minnesota right now in the Derek Chauvin trial. I feel that this testimony is vital in representing the victim in their absence. This is especially vital in police involved deaths. Police offices, if even charged, have unions and the entire law enforcement machines behind them working to craft a narrative and shape their persona. Victims and their families should have the same leverage. Again, I encourage you to do more research on your own and sponsor legislation that includes this testimony in our state proceedings. Thanks
