An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Our planet is not infinite!

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

I'm writing to urge you to push back on the Trump administration's executive order to increase timber production on our public lands and national forests. This move will dangerously bypass important environmental laws to destroy our public lands, harm wildlife, and compromise our safety, air and water quality. We cannot let this administration do this. Trump has ordered over 100 million hectares of forest to be chopped down. That's nearly three times the size of California!!!! At the beginning of this month, Trump issued an executive order demanding an expansion of tree cutting over 280 million acres of national forests and public lands. He falsely claimed that increased logging will positively impact forest health by reducing wildfires. Instead, experts think he is simply selling out to big lumber. Our planet is not infinite. We must protect wildlife from being used as an endless resource machine.- It's time to take action. Thank you for your time and consideration.
