Protect Free Speech: Stop the Government From Censoring TV

I am writing to ask you to protect the First Amendment, stop government overreach, and launch immediate congressional oversight into the Federal Communications Commission (MB Docket No. 26-131). The FCC is currently fast-tracking early license renewals for ABC’s local broadcast stations. The timing is deeply concerning, as this regulatory enforcement began exactly one day after executive officials publicly demanded a late-night comedian be fired for making jokes. Using federal regulatory powers to punish a private television network over political humor sets a dangerous precedent. Whether you agree with a comedian's jokes or a company’s internal policies, the federal government should never weaponize broadcast licenses to pressure, silence, or censor the media. This is an abuse of power that threatens both a free press and a free market. Congress holds ultimate constitutional authority over the FCC. As your constituent, I urge you to use your oversight power to investigate this matter, look into communications between the FCC and the White House, and ensure that federal agencies are not being used as tools for political retribution.
