It undermines our rights, threatens the dignity of vulnerable communities, and furthers a dangerous drift toward authoritarian governance. Your support for this bill is not only disappointing—it’s alarming. Maryland’s 1st District deserves a representative who stands up for democracy, not one who enables the erosion of it. We need leadership rooted in integrity, compassion, and respect for all people. Your decision to vote yes on this legislation is a failure of that leadership. I urge you to reflect on the real impact of your actions and recommit yourself to truly representing the people of your district—all of us.
