Support Special Counsel Investigation into Epstein Files and Trump Allegations

I am writing to demand that you publicly support the appointment of a special counsel to investigate the recently released Epstein files and the allegations they contain regarding former President Trump. Representative Ted Lieu has already called for this independent investigation, and your constituents need to know where you stand on this critical matter of justice and accountability.
The Epstein case represents one of the most disturbing failures of our justice system in recent history. For years, powerful individuals exploited vulnerable victims while law enforcement and prosecutors failed to act decisively. When new evidence emerges that potentially implicates a former president in these crimes, our system must respond with the full force of the law. Anything less suggests a deliberate cover-up that protects the powerful at the expense of victims who have already suffered immeasurably.
A special counsel investigation is the only mechanism that can ensure independence from political interference. The Department of Justice cannot credibly investigate allegations against a former president without the appearance of bias or political calculation. The American people deserve to know the truth about what happened, who was involved, and whether anyone in positions of authority helped conceal these crimes.
The victims in this case have waited decades for justice. They have watched as their abusers lived freely, accumulated wealth and power, and faced minimal consequences. Every day that passes without a thorough investigation compounds their trauma and signals that our government values political expediency over the safety of children.
I am asking you to make a clear public statement supporting the appointment of a special counsel to investigate these allegations fully and transparently. If you remain silent on this issue or refuse to call for an investigation, I will have no choice but to conclude that you are complicit in protecting those responsible for these heinous crimes. Your constituents are watching, and we will remember how you respond to this test of moral courage.
