Protect national forests through responsible logging regulations

Unregulated logging in our national forests poses a severe threat to the environment and public safety. The Trump administration's executive order to increase timber production across 280 million acres of public lands, while bypassing crucial environmental laws like the Endangered Species Act and National Environmental Policy Act, is reckless and irresponsible. Appropriate forest management is essential for wildfire prevention, preserving clean air and water, capturing carbon, and protecting wildlife habitats, including endangered species. This drastic expansion of logging, without properly assessing its impact on air and water quality or wildfire risk, compromises the long-term viability of our cherished public lands. It is imperative that Congress take action to uphold current environmental protections and safeguards. Our national forests are a shared natural treasure that must be sustainably managed for the benefit of all Americans, now and in the future. I urge you to strongly oppose the administration's assault on environmental regulations and advocate for responsible stewardship of these invaluable public resources.
