An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Respect Greenland's self-determination and sovereignty

4 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

The attempted acquisition of Greenland by the United States is a concerning issue that raises questions about respecting the sovereignty and self-determination of the Greenlandic people. As an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark, Greenland has the right to decide its own future free from external pressure or coercion. Any effort to purchase or annex Greenland without the full consent of its government and populace would be a violation of their democratic rights and could destabilize the region. I urge you to reconsider this proposed transaction and instead focus on strengthening partnerships and cooperation through ethical diplomacy that upholds human rights and national autonomy. Unilateral actions dismissing Greenland's autonomy set a dangerous precedent and undermine international norms. The people of Greenland must be empowered to chart their own course based on their interests, not have their future determined by an outside entity against their will.
