I see the Trump correction has begun. The markets fell like Trump’s approval ratings have since he started running a buzz saw through the federal government. Tariffs don’t play well with the economy and the market knows. Add that to massive job losses beyond the fired federal workers. I spoke to a friend whose company has laid off 50 people who were working on federal contracts and that is just one company. A friend of my son’s lost their job because of lost contracts. I am sure the list will be long. DOGE is creating a pile of waste on its own by canceling contracts that represent years of work, some of which is close to completion, based on things I’ve heard. A 5 year contract within 2 weeks of project completion chucked in the bin for nothing by one report. What a profound waste of my money. A more measured approach would have taken the time to determine what should stay and what should go but why do that when you can just break the law without congressional pushback and impound funds to your heart’s content. The American people are going to pay the price for this mess in the form of lost services, loss of knowledge, loss of markets, loss of jobs and lost money as taxes ie. tariffs take hold. It’s not too late to take a stand against the damage being done.
