An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Stop abusing migrant children

17 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

The prospect of deporting vulnerable children without due process is cruel and inhumane. No child should face deportation alone or be torn from their family without a fair hearing to assess the danger they may face if returned to their home country. Revoking humanitarian parole for unaccompanied minors and stripping them of legal protections violates human rights principles and traumatizes young lives. We must uphold moral standards of compassion and provide these children with proper legal representation and consideration of their asylum claims. Deporting children back into harm's way contradicts American values of human dignity and caring for the vulnerable. I urge you to reject policies that needlessly punish innocent young people and instead pursue immigration reforms guided by empathy and justice.
