WHY IS ALL THIS CORRUPTION BEING ALLOWED BY THE GOP CONGRESS?

Uh oh. The US Court of International Trade ruled yesterday that the president’s “Liberation Day” tariffs are illegal. The judges noted that the US Constitution gives exclusively to Congress the power to impose tariffs. “Congress manifestly is not permitted to abdicate or to transfer to other the essential legislative functions with which it is thus vested,” the court wrote. How embarrassing is it to have the judicial branch remind Congress that you have an actual job that involves constitutional enforcement? It also appears Trump, with his erratic tariff decisions actually was manipulating markets. Just not in the way he might wish. More in a ‘TACO trade’ way. If you managed to miss it that’s short for “Trump always chickens out.” Investors have figured out that they can buy stocks cheaply immediately after Trump’s initial tariff announcement and then sell higher when stocks rebound after he flip-flops. And don’t forget how his tariff machinations continue to enrich his own family. Vietnam made a hasty tariff deal with the Trump organization for a $1.5 billion luxury real estate development with three 18-hole golf courses outside Hanoi. Please explain how this deal benefits America. And the corruption of the presidency continues with more slimy pardons. Yesterday Trump granted pardons to 25 people, including former Rep. Michael Grimm and former CT governor John Rowland, both of whom were convicted of tax fraud. Pardoning wealthy tax frauds is no surprise. But Trump also commuted the six federal life sentences of Chicago gang leader Larry Hoover, who was convicted of murder, extortion, money laundering, and drug related offenses. He also ran, from prison, a drug gang that had about 30,000 members across 31 states and brought in an estimated $100 million a year. WTF? Aren’t these the kind of folks he claims to want out of the country? Instead he’s releasing them back into the country. And telling them they were wronged. Make that make sense. The hypocrisy is unbelievable. That combined with his “looking at” pardons for the men convicted of conspiring to kidnap MI governor Whitmer, seems akin to telling the Proud Boys to “stand back and stand by.” He’s courting vigilante groups. To prove that very point, after his smack down by the court and reports of his new nickname broke, he posted a meme showing an image of himself walking toward the viewer on what appears to be a wet, nighttime city street. Pepe the Frog, a symbol of the far right, stands in the background. Above Trump, in all capital letters, reads: “He’s on a mission from God.” Below his feet, also in all caps: “& nothing can stop what is coming.” This is a phrase directly from QAnon. And refers to the idea that members of the “Deep State” and its collaborators will soon be arrested. I hope you’re as tired of this as we the people are. Trump is out of control. What are you going to do about it?
