It shouldn’t be partisan or controversial to protect Americans’ money and data

Congress has control over the purse and making laws. Most, but not all, of the illegal actions that Trump and Musk are taking you have the power to do. However, you know they would be deeply unpopular, so you just ignore the power grab and the illegal activity to the detriment of the nation, its people, and the specific individuals and entities that Musk has trampled on. Now your capitulation has emboldened them, and they are threatening to violate court orders and continue to break the laws that you made and hold back the money that you directed to be spent. Why won’t you stand up for your constituents? Why won’t you stand up for the rule of law? Is it so hard to say that an unelected, unvetted weirdo with no government experience who makes nazi solutes should not be stealing data and money from the American people? How is that controversial or partisan in any way?
