Climate experts have been saying for decades now that climate change is going to cause severe storms that will get more frequent and more severe over time. Not only that, but areas that historically have not had to deal with these types of storms and dont have the infrastructure to deal with them are going to get hit and get hit hard. We can see this happening with Helene. Entire towns are being wiped off the map in Appalachia. Storms originating in the Gulf are making it all the way to the MIDWEST before dissipating. It's only going to get worse, and what is the official response we are seeing? Cops guarding a grocery store from "looters" when we all know that food is just going to be trashed as soon as they open back up. There's no power! Food is being left to rot but thats preferable to anyone, even people struggling to survive, getting even a single loaf of bread for "free." Thoughts and prayers don't save lives. You know what does? ACTION. What actions do you plan on taking to help US citizens survive as the real tangible results of unaddressed climate change take their tolls on this country?
