WHY ARE MISOGYNISTS & THEIR GOP ENABLERS ALLOWED TO LEAD AMERICA?

Todd Blanche is confirmed as AG. We knew it would happen. No surprise there. The right thing to do falls by the wayside, again, in favor of fealty to political party. Next example to watch for that truism…Max Miller. Credibly accused of spousal abuse, his GOP colleagues in Congress are being reluctantly forced to talk about an issue they are not so much disturbed by as they are by having to acknowledge it. The congressman is unrepentant. Instead he demands that we believe him, not his ex-wife. He did not throw boiling water at her in order to injure her; it was “horseplay” that she enjoyed. He did not hold a gun to her head. He did not fracture his 2-year-old daughter’s collarbone or withhold her favorite bunny toy while she cried. All the other women are lying too. He did not assault Stephanie Grisham, former WH press secretary, by pushing her against a wall and slapping her in the face. And P.S. he never threw a dog toy at her. He did not push a girl out of his room and down the stairs while he was in high school. And he’s made it clear he’s not going to drop out of his race for reelection because the president of the United States has his back. As Miller declared in a video on X, “I’ll win in November.” And he actually might. Because that is America today. Trump called him “a good person” and said he’ll let “the families” figure out if he should resign. His House colleague Jim Jordan called Miller “a good man” and said he hopes he “wins reelection.” House Speaker Mike Johnson, the man of God, stressed allowing the “process to play out,” while asserting that “all sorts of domestic events” occur involving members of Congress and it’s not his “business to get engaged.” True. Other men facing accusations either kept their jobs or rose to higher positions. Jordan allegedly ignored the sexual abuse of Ohio State’s men’s wrestling team. Multiple women have accused FL Rep Cory Mills of physical abuse and sexual misconduct. Defense secretary Pete Hegseth has been accused of rape and domestic abuse. The former wife of Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said during divorce and custody proceedings that he choked her until she bit him in self-defense. Just this past week a GOP state lawmaker in Arkansas resigned after he was arrested for allegedly pressing his knee into his wife’s neck until she struggled to breathe. He’s scheduled to be arraigned next month. And on the Dem side, sexual-misconduct allegations ended the political careers of Eric Swalwell and Graham Platner. But the difference is that these guys quickly lost support from their colleagues. All it takes is a reading of headlines to know that one party is more likely to draw a line on misogynist abuse. Most prominent example, Epstein. GOP words say they want to get to the bottom of this scandal, but their actions show the exact opposite. It sure does look like Miller and his ilk benefit from a party that prioritizes ideological conformity over character. And any claim to a moral compass is just that. A claim. Morality is actually only a collateral value. And when positions of power become threatened by let’s say, women, the GOP springs into action, with inaction. While trying to convince us that they are just innocent bystanders and a bit befuddled by what we might want them to do about it. After all, a convicted sexual abuser sits in the Oval. And they’re certainly fine with that. So what’s all the hubbub? You still don’t or won’t grasp how angry we are.
