Jeff Andrew needs a wake-up call. Telling us to get another job isn’t an answer!

Republican congressman Jeff Andrew of New Jersey was recorded advising his own constituents that prices rise and they should work harder and get another job. Sit with that for a moment. Pretend you’re a regular person and are struggling to pay for gas, housing, groceries, etc. and you’ve asked your congressman for advice, and he tells you to get another job. How would you feel? It’s bad enough when we have to choose between a birthday cake for our kids and the electric bill. Now he wants us to choose between seeing our kids at all and everything else. The situation is cruel and untenable, and I can’t say I have any suggested solutions for it- but getting another job certainly isn’t a feasible answer- especially when so many of us are already working two jobs as it is. So hold him accountable to his words. Speak out against him, making sure his constituents are fully aware of his feelings on the matter. Fight for NJ. Fight for Americans at large.
