No Budget Deal with R’s without Ending DOGE and all Unconstitutional Behavior

Where we are right now is not politics as usual! The Trump administration is acting LAWLESSLY on all levels! This moment requires MAXIMUM effort! It can’t be “blah, blah, blah, midterm elections, blah, blah, blah.” We are at an inflection point that is CRITICAL. I’m hearing that the negotiations for keeping the government from shutting down are based around disallowing impoundment. While that is a worthy goal, is it weak sauce considering the CRISIS of lawless governance that we are facing! From TPM, “The only reasonable position is “no help with your problem unless and until the criminal conduct stops.” Put more specifically, Elon’s whole DOGE wilding spree through the federal government is illegal and unconstitutional. Congress is in charge of opening or shutting down departments, spending money or not spending money. The DOGE operation has to stop and the damage needs to be undone. And any deal needs to be enforceable.” I wholeheartedly agree. NO BUDGET DEAL WITHOUT IRONCLAD AND ENFORCEABLE TERMS STOPPING THE CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR! If the government has to shut down, so be it. DOGE has disabled much of it anyway. The Republicans need to come to their senses and properly govern in the interest of the American people, not in the interest of the wealthiest few. If it’s our only leverage of power we have to use it!
