Reject Boren nomination for disregarding environmental laws and ethics

Mr. Boren's history of disregarding federal regulations and environmental protections on public lands raises serious concerns about his ability to lead the Forest Service impartially and uphold its mission. His blatant construction of an airstrip and cabin without proper permits on protected lands demonstrates a disrespect for the very laws he would be tasked with enforcing. Furthermore, the allegations of threatening behavior toward Forest Service employees are unacceptable for someone being considered for such a position of leadership. Mr. Boren's conflicts of interest and adversarial stance toward this agency indicate he is unlikely to properly steward America's national forests and public lands for the benefit of all. For these reasons, I urge you to reject his nomination to serve as Under Secretary of Agriculture overseeing the Forest Service.
