An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Begin impeachment proceedings against Secretary Noem immediately!

The federal government's recent actions in Los Angeles are unconscionable and an affront to democracy. Forcibly removing an elected U.S. Senator from a press conference and handcuffing him for simply seeking to ask questions is a flagrant violation of free speech and the separation of powers. This disturbing pattern of physical intimidation against lawmakers by federal agents under Secretary Noem's leadership cannot stand. Her rhetoric about "liberating" a major American city from its elected leaders is alarmingly authoritarian. Secretary Noem has clearly overstepped her authority and lost any sense of proper constitutional boundaries. For the sake of our democratic norms and civil liberties, she must be held accountable through impeachment proceedings. Unchecked abuses of power at this scale are unacceptable in a free society governed by laws, not the whims of a rogue cabinet official. Decisive action to remove Secretary Noem is imperative to reaffirm our nation's commitment to democratic principles.
