An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Prevent Eligible People from Losing Medicaid to Paperwork

69 so far! Help us get to 100 signers!

Please urge the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that oversees Medicaid, to revise its proposed Medicaid work requirement rule. Congress should ensure that eligible people do not lose healthcare because of complicated reporting, verification, and paperwork requirements. People with disabilities, caregivers, and those with chronic health conditions already face significant challenges. Administrative barriers should never become barriers to healthcare. I ask you to press CMS to simplify the rule, maximize automatic verification using existing government data, and protect continuous Medicaid coverage for everyone who remains eligible.
