An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Condemn Dehumanizing Rhetoric and Protect Every American's Right to Exist

48 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

Please use your platform and your office to publicly condemn dehumanizing rhetoric that targets people for who they are. Language that frames entire groups of people as threats to be eliminated is not political debate — it is dangerous, and it has real consequences for real people in your district. This country was built on the principle that every person has the right to live freely and authentically. That doesn't require agreement on every issue. It requires a basic commitment to each other's humanity. When elected officials stay silent in the face of genocidal language, silence reads as permission. Your constituents are watching, and they need to hear you say clearly that this kind of rhetoric has no place here.
