Jesus was a Palestinian Jew under Roman occupation. Palestinians today are also Semitic people—descendants of the same land and legacy. To support the destruction of their lives, their homes, and their futures is not only a political failure—it is a spiritual one. We, the undersigned, urge you to support a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and to condition U.S. military aid to Israel on adherence to international law and human rights. Over 14,000 Palestinian children have been killed. Entire neighborhoods have been leveled. Food, water, and medical access are being denied to millions. This is not defense. This is collective punishment. We were taught Tikkun Olam—to repair the world. We remember Jesus’ teaching: Whatever you do to the least of these, you do unto me. These values call us not to justify cruelty, but to resist it.
