Revoke the $7 Billion ICE Apportionment and Invest in Working Families

Revoke the $7 billion apportionment the White House budget office just released to ICE and redirect it toward working-class Americans who are struggling to afford food and gas. The Office of Management and Budget signed off on this money Tuesday, and that decision should be reversed.
This $7 billion is going to private prison companies like CoreCivic and GEO Group, warehouse conversions, deportation flights, and a 287(g) program that pays local police departments $100,000 vehicle stipends and $7,500 per officer in equipment costs. That is not where this country's money should be going. Grocery prices are punishing working families every week, and gas costs are eating into paychecks that were already stretched thin.
The full ICE allocation under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act runs to $43.5 billion, with another $36.6 billion still held back. I want every official who has any say over appropriations, oversight, or future homeland security legislation to fight to claw this money back and put it to work for the people who actually need it.
