I am writing to express my opposition as your constituent to the Regulatory Decimation Act. If there are specific regulations that you want to write a bill to strike down, do that. This act is lazy and too broad. While regulations can be difficult and, sometimes, overbearing, they also keep us safe. Without regulations, greedy companies would not be obligated to list accurate ingredients/allergens or keep products pure, employers would not have to provide safe working conditions, and there would be no way to know the accurate minimum safety ratings to things like car seats (which is essential to me as a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician). Regarding the LIVE Beneficiaries Act, please ensure that there is an **easy and simple** way for beneficiaries who have been disenrolled by error to be reinstated. I’m not opposed to confirming they are alive — although I think quarterly is more of a waste of time for admin staff and will cost more in payroll time than it will in money saved — the vulnerable people who need these benefits are not in a position to be able to jump through a bunch of hoops to regain their rightful benefits. Also…you know your constituents remember your history of massive Medicare fraud, right? Don’t act all high and mighty with this bill. Finally: HOW DARE YOU declare that DOGE is doing what the American people want? Only a spineless bootlicker could look past the actually lack of true savings and the illegality both of the massive firings and Elon Musk’s team’s actions in order to praise what has happened. Do better.
