AMERICANS CAN HANDLE THE TRUTH. CAN THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION?

The Trump administration has gone full Wizard of Oz. Levers are being frantically pulled. Scary images broadcast. Huffing and puffing. Steam escaping. Lots of hysterical protesting about…well everything to do with the Iran bombing. All because the media doesn’t accept at face value all the hyperbole coming out of the WH and Pentagon. But the curtain is also being pulled back. Who wouldn’t like to believe that Iran has lost the capability of actually making a nuclear weapon? And that America saved the day? But shouldn’t rhetoric try and match the reality at least just a little bit? And shouldn’t our leadership wait for, and want, all the facts before they start spinning a story of total obliteration and success like the world has never seen before? That’s what the. American people would like. Not the sycophantic BS we’ve seen and heard so far. Instead we have the Trump administration in a battle royale with the media. With ‘leakers.’ With the Congress. With anyone and everyone who won’t just accept what they are demanding we believe. Just because they say so. Our president is the ultimate unreliable narrator. Anyone who believes much of anything he says must have been born yesterday. In any case, Iran knows the reality. And I expect, now that we’ve bombed them even though our own intelligence seems to have said they were nowhere near completing a nuclear project, they will double-time their efforts in that area. Especially since they’ve now declared they will allow no more nuclear inspections. Again, can you explain Trump’s 2018 decision to tear up the Iran nuclear deal? Will you be happy with just the WH PR on this issue? Whatever. Good luck with it all.
