NO to bad budget: Uphold Byrd. No rescissions. NO death cuts

Stop the death-dealing billionaire-enriching bad budget please. Slow it down, vote no, refuse rescissions. Please vote NO on any rescissions bill that comes from the White House. Please observe the Byrd rule in the senate: refuse to pass any budget that has poison pill additions irrelevant to the budget: no end runs around judicial authority and checks and balances. No additions that limit judges ability to enforce contempt. No additions that enable mining in the boundary waters. Remember: if you defy Byrd now, the Democrats can do the same. Please honor regular order and constitutional order. I am outraged by the preventable deaths that are being caused by the illegal cuts to U.S.A.I.D. and by the preventable deaths that will be caused by the proposed cuts to Medicare and Medicaid. You should be too. Do you want to be complicit in preventable deaths of other human beings, including of your own constituents? Is further enriching the oligarchs worth the lives of fellow human beings? Should Dives have ten houses and throw away food while Lazarus dies at the door, or living in a cardboard box? I hope that even the most morally detached of the senate would not vote for gas chambers. Yet you are going to cause deaths on a massive scale--in the US and across the world-- by cuts to food programs, pepfar, vaccination programs and cuts to access to health care at home. A number of research agencies are now tracking this. If you are impervious to human decency then have a thought for US soft power and for the economic effects of cuts to health care access and school nutrition. I call on you to Refuse the bad budget. Speak out against the damage it will bring. Vote no. Slow it down. Expose its consequences. Honor the Byrd rule. If you have any respect for those you should serve, or if you serve any deity at all with a moral code, you will reject a budget that brings death.
