Failure to engage with the legislature's responsibilities hurts all constituents

I strongly oppose giving sensitive government data to Elon Musk and his team at the Department of Government Efficiency. Musk is taking actions without approval from Congress, and certainly without my vote. Your "implied consent" is legally and idealistically insufficient. Congress has the power to take back control of government funds and operations, and it must act quickly. I urge you to fulfill your responsibilities to your constituents and stop Musk and his group from undermining our democratic values. Although I disagree with most of your political views, and fully expect my concerns to be ignored, the ability to express this concern to an elected representative is a cornerstone of our society. When these representatives sit back and allow others to subvert their constitutional authority through inaction, it hurts all constituents, whether they agree with the representative or not. There is a troubling shift of power happening in Washington, D.C. If you don't stand against it, you are complicit. Constituents like me are paying attention.
