I support Sen. Cory Booker filibustering in the senate right now because so MANY things are going completely wrong right now in our country. We are flirting with authoritarianism, talking about 3rd terms for the presidency, tariffs for our allies, removing access to social security, Medicare, cutting funding for vaccines for children, sending people with NO DUE PROCESS to El Salvadoran slave labor camp/prisons because they have tattoos, removing/detaining women off the streets because of an Op-ed she wrote saying her university should divest from Israel. We’re seeing courts threatened by Mike Johnson, law firms being blackmailed, removal of inspectors General, the JAG officers in the military.
Just STOP THIS CRAP right now. This is a disaster. I am writing this to you and your peers who represent me in Congress and to the President because this is unacceptable. You are destroying this country brick by brick. We will protest, we will continue to see the tanking of the Tesla stock price, we will vote when Elon bribes voters for $1M checks. We will boycott. We do not stand for this. And I’m so angry & scared. Because project 2025 was not popular for a reason.
We love our country the way it was January 20, 2025 before all of this chaos. Stop breaking it so you can “make it beautiful.” You can prove to us right now that you’re not a dictatorship, change your tune about the courts, the press, allow free speech. Stop destroying it. You can prove us all wrong. Fire Elon. Stop allowing this administration to tear our country apart. Prove your loyalty to the constitution and the rule of law. I dare you.
