Congress: Impeach and Remove Pam Bondi from the Office of Atty. General

Today I take pen in hand to write and urge you to begin impeachment proceedings for Attorney General Pam Bondi. Not only has she lied to Congress and the public she allegedly serves she continues her horrific record on civil rights and her actions border on sedition and undermine our democratic processes. Pam Bondi's support for efforts to overturn the 2020 election was already deeply alarming and disqualifying for the role of the nation's top law enforcement officer. The Attorney General must be committed to upholding the rule of law and protecting our democratic institutions, not undermining them for political gain. There isn’t a single civil rights organization that hasn’t spoken against her. Many civil rights organizations have detailed her problematic stances on crucial matters such as voting rights, LGBTQ rights, the census, and access to health care and reproductive rights. These positions indicate that she is the very antithesis of the rule of law, which is a fundamental responsibility of the Attorney General. Her continuous lying for the cameras about the Epstein case, including her utter failure to investigate Epstein when she was Attorney General in Florida adds to her soiled record. The Justice Department's independence from political influence is paramount, especially in these times of heightened threats to our multiracial democracy and fundamental rights. Bondi's responses during Senate hearings have only made her seem weaker and more ingratiating to the lawlessness that now confounds our country. If it were possible, a full investigation into her complicity in crimes throughout this administration ought to be a next step. However in the absence of that, calling for her eventual impeachment and removal is the only option. As your constituent, I ask that you prioritize the protection of civil and human rights. Pam Bondi isn’t capable, reasonable or truthful. Impeach and remove Pam Bondi. Thank you.
