Keep NYC Water and Cooling open longer

Our climate is getting hotter each and every year. The outdated idea that warm weather begins at Memorial Day and ends at Labor Day is arcane and dangerous. The city should work to open public cooling centers and water features such as park sprinklers and pools as early as May. Our city, especially those who are vulnerable such as the young or older, need these facilities to cool off during our ever expanding, hotter summers.
