An open letter to the U.S. House of Representatives

Oppose HR10186: Protect Trans Rights and Fight Discrimination

10 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

I urge you to vote against HR10186, which unjustly targets transgender individuals by restricting their access to bathrooms and facilities aligning with their gender identity on federal property. Transgender people deserve the same dignity, respect, and safety as all Americans. This legislation promotes harmful discrimination, increases stigma, and has no basis in addressing actual safety concerns. The National Center for Transgender Equality emphasizes that such laws expose transgender individuals to harassment and violence while solving nonexistent issues. Additionally, enforcing this bill would be impractical, intrusive, and harmful to the privacy of all people. Similar policies in states have caused significant harm to trans communities without measurable benefits. I implore you to stand against this discriminatory legislation and affirm that trans rights are human rights. Please vote “no” on HR10186 and advocate for policies that foster inclusion, equality, and respect for all.
