I urge you to vote NO on the nomination of Former Member of Congress Tulsi Gabbard to serve as the Director of National Intelligence. I echo the concerns of Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona who notes that she lacks sound judgment and decision-making, both qualities that are immensely important for the person responsible for presenting intelligence to the President.
Sen. Kelly recently noted on his website, “This position decides what intelligence gets in front of the president. It’s critical to our national security and the safety of all of our families.” He rightly notes that Ms. Gabbard has made statements in the past expressing skepticism from the intelligence community as being “dangerous.”
During her confirmation hearing, Ms. Gabbard doubled down on past statements about the Assad Regime’s use of chemical weapons against Syrians and other questionable or demonstrably false assertions that she has made.
Ms. Gabbard would not be an asset to this Administration, where the President of the USA already has distorted views of news sources and the intelligence community. The person bringing intelligence reports to him should not add to the distortion or inaccuracy.
Vote NO on Tulsi Gabbard’s nomination.
