Safeguard UNRWA's Humanitarian Mission, Uphold Human Rights

Oppose H.R. 7206. Designating the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) as a terrorist organization would be a misguided and harmful act. UNRWA is a respected humanitarian aid agency that provides vital assistance to millions of Palestinian refugees. Labeling it as a terrorist group would undermine its crucial work, exacerbate the humanitarian crisis in the region, and further destabilize the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. As a permanent member of the UN Security Council, the United States taking this step would be widely perceived as an overtly biased move against the Palestinian cause and a rejection of the internationally backed two-state solution. I urge you to oppose H.R. 7206 and any efforts to designate UNRWA as a terrorist organization.
