I am writing to express profound concerns regarding the individuals appointed to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Many of these appointees lack relevant government experience, raising serious questions about their qualifications and the potential risks to our federal agencies.
Key Appointees:
• Jennifer Balajadia – Former operations coordinator at The Boring Company, now an official member of the DOGE team within the Executive Office of the President.
• Alexandra T. Beynon – Previously head of engineering at a startup offering guided at-home ketamine therapy and former software developer at Goldman Sachs.
• Nicole Hollander – Former real estate handler at X (formerly Twitter), now working within the General Services Administration.
• Kendall M. Lindemann – Previously an associate at a venture capital firm and a business analyst at McKinsey & Company, now part of the DOGE team.
• Adam Ramada – Limited publicly available background information raises further concerns about transparency.
• Keenan Kmiec – Former clerk for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, now serving within the Executive Office of the President.
• James Burnham – Former attorney in the Trump administration, currently part of the DOGE legal team.
• Jacob Altik – Former attorney at a major corporate law firm, now working within DOGE.
• Gregory Barbaccia – Former Palantir employee, now Chief Information Officer at the Office of Management and Budget.
• Ryan Riedel – Former SpaceX network security engineer, now Chief Information Officer at the Department of Energy.
• Greg Hogan – Silicon Valley ties, now Chief Information Officer at the Office of Personnel Management.
• Akash Bobba – Former Neuralink intern, now holding a significant position within DOGE.
• Edward Coristine – Formerly associated with SpaceX and X, now part of the DOGE team.
• Luke Farritor – Former SpaceX employee, now involved in DOGE operations.
• Gautier Cole Killian – With experience in technology startups, currently serving within DOGE.
• Gavin Kliger – Software engineer with access to sensitive IRS data, raising concerns about data security.
• Ethan Shaotran – Harvard senior focusing on autonomous vehicles, now part of the DOGE initiative.
The lack of transparency and apparent inexperience of these individuals necessitate immediate action. I urge you to:
1. Conduct Comprehensive Background Checks – Ensure all DOGE appointees undergo thorough vetting to confirm their qualifications and suitability for their roles.
2. Mandate Appropriate Security Clearances
3. Establish Accountability Measures
The integrity and security of our federal agencies are paramount. Allowing unvetted and potentially unqualified individuals to operate within these institutions poses significant risks to our nation’s governance and public trust.
