It is obscene that we are, once again, holding people in concentration camps. There is no excuse for what's happening in Miami, especially not considering we've done this before, during Trump's first term, and this horrifically inhumane practice received severe backlash from the public then as well. Do we learn nothing? We are holding human beings like factory farm pigs. It doesn't matter whether they're undocumented or not, ICE is taking citizens and non-citizens alike. It doesn't matter who we're holding in these camps, the conditions are actively killing people. Not only do these people deserve due process under American law and tradition, they deserve dignity, health, and basic needs like food and water. There is, again, no excuse for this. If Trump's supporters would like to continue pretending we're not descending into fascism, ending concentration camps would be a good start. Stand up. Stop this nightmare. Free these people and reign in ICE before they kill anybody else.
