An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Health insurance companies should be held accountable.

9 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!

Health insurance companies prioritizing profits over people's lives is unacceptable and tragically led to Cole Schmidtknecht's preventable death due to an overnight price hike for his asthma inhaler. The greed and lack of transparency from pharmacy benefit managers negotiating drug prices behind closed doors puts countless lives at risk. This unethical system desperately needs reform to prevent future tragedies, provide affordable access to essential medications, and hold corporations accountable when their actions cost human lives. No family should endure such an avoidable loss simply because a medication became unaffordable overnight without warning.
