Senator, you had a chance at your own legacy in Texas, to do good things for the state and for the people who voted for you. But what will your legacy actually be? What will all of those obituaries someday say? They will say, "he said and did absolutely nothing to stop Donald Trump's authoritarianism." They will say that you put party before people. They will say that you had a shot at greatness, but when faced with Donald Trump, you became an unbelievably weak coward who would say absolutely nothing in opposition, who stood by and supported the release of January 6 insurrectionists, the very people who threatened YOUR life, and left our country vulnerable to every other despot in the world. You had a chance, Senator, and your legacy is now totally that of Trump. How do you look yourself in the mirror, knowing you've been so weak? How sad.
