You, as a member of the legislative branch of our government, are familiar with the pledge to support and defend the Constitution.
You probably also are aware that the President of the United States also agrees to this when taking the oath of office.
An interesting exchange occurred on Meet the Press, which revealed that President Trump doesn’t know whether it’s his obligation to “preserve, protect, and defend” the Constitution.
One of several things must be true:
Either he is seeking/hoping to disregard his oath of office, or he forgot the content of his oath of office, or he forgot that he took an oath of office, or he doesn’t understand the words he said.
Any of those problems point to someone who is ethically/criminally or mentally unable to fulfill the responsibilities of the U.S. Presidency, and it turns out that it’s you Legislative Branch fellers who must now do something about that.
The ball is in your court, demanding you take a swing at it. The tools available, as you probably know, are impeachment and removal, or the 25th Amendment. Please choose the one you believe is most applicable, and proceed to do your duty.
