Oppose & Vote NO on Mike Huckabee for U.S. Ambassador to Israel

Today I take pen in hand to write and urge you to oppose and Vote NO on Mike Huckabee to be the U.S. Ambassador to Israel. Former Gov. Huckabee's potential appointment as US Ambassador to Israel raises many red flags: the first is his longstanding support for Donald Trump's agenda and controversial positions. A real ambassador — not a political appointee — should uphold democratic values and human rights, not enable divisive policies that undermine peace in the region. Huckabee has defended Trump's efforts to move the US embassy to Jerusalem despite widespread condemnation, signaling his willingness to prioritize political interests over diplomacy. That could include genocidal actions against Palestinians and other Muslims. His rhetoric often inflames tensions rather than fostering dialogue and mutual understanding between Israelis and Palestinians. As a public servant, Huckabee should put the national interest first instead of catering to the whims of a single administration. In addition, Mike Huckabee's financial ties also raise red flags about his suitability. According to numerous reports, Huckabee received a $50,000 fee in 2018 from lobbyists representing Qatar for a brief visit, during a period when Qatar was seeking to improve its standing with pro-Israel voices. Additionally, he’s also earned millions from various organizations, including over $400,000 from a company that paid a settlement for misleading health claims. His extensive paid speaking and media roles suggest potential conflicts of interest that could undermine his ability to effectively represent the U.S. His nomination merits rigorous scrutiny, but overall he’s unfit to hold office. I urge you to oppose, expose his questionable record, and Vote NO. Thank you.
