Defend Democracy Against Authoritarian Overreach

The president's self-declared "king" status and attempt to unilaterally strike down New York's congestion pricing program are a flagrant violation of democratic norms and the system of checks and balances. In a republic, no individual can simply crown themselves above the law. This authoritarian power grab undermining a lawful policy developed over years through public input is an egregious abuse of executive authority.
