NO MORE MONEY FOR HIGHWAY EXPANSION

You do not have my support in passing legislation that increases funding or capacity for highways. Our budget shortfall is partially due to the expensive road network that we maintain/expand. We should focus our funds on maintain what do have, or removing capacity to save on maintenance and fund clean, efficient alternatives. It is well known: 1) expansion drives demand 2) most cars burn fossil fuels 3) burning fossil fuels has created extinction-level climate emergencies across the globe including in Washington. Signing a bill that continues to incentivize driving through roadway expansion says you are ok putting the health of the human population and the ecosystems we rely on for survival in continued danger. Time to think outside the cage (car). Cut highways funds and build alternatives.
