An open letter to the U.S. House of Representatives
Do the Right Thing. VOTE NO on Budget Bill.
3 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!
I am writing as a deeply concerned Lancaster constituent to urge you to vote NO on the current budget bill moving through Congress.
This bill is not a “budget” in any responsible or moral sense. It is a grotesque redistribution of wealth: trillions of dollars in permanent tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy and corporations, paid for by slashing essential programs that working families, seniors, children, and vulnerable populations rely on. According to nonpartisan analysis, this bill will explode the national deficit while gutting Medicaid, food assistance, and other safety nets that uphold the basic dignity of millions of Americans.
I know that you have generally supported similar legislation in the past, but I am asking—demanding—that you break with that pattern now. Lancaster families need leadership, not rubber-stamped ideology. If you support this bill, you are voting to abandon your constituents in favor of billionaires and special interests. You are choosing cruelty over community.
You were elected to serve the people of Pennsylvania—not political donors, not party bosses, and certainly not those already hoarding more than their fair share. This bill is an assault on fairness, decency, and the very idea that government should work for the people. History will remember who stood up—and who sold out.
Vote NO on the budget bill. Stand with your constituents. Show us that you still believe in a government that serves everyone, not just the rich and powerful.
