I am writing to express my deep concern and growing frustration regarding the construction of the new White House State Ballroom and, more specifically, the opaque nature of its funding.
A $200 million addition to the most symbolically significant residence in the United States—funded entirely by unnamed “patriot donors”—demands far more scrutiny than it has received. The fact that this project is being carried out on federal property, with direct ties to the legacy of a sitting president, makes the absence of donor disclosure not only troubling but potentially unethical.
Why are the names of these donors being withheld from the American public? What possible justification exists for shielding individuals who are financing a massive expansion of the White House from accountability? This secrecy invites speculation about undue influence, political favoritism, and the erosion of democratic norms. If these donors are truly patriots, they should have no issue standing behind their contributions publicly.
The White House is not a private estate. It is a national institution, maintained by the people and for the people. Any attempt to reshape it—especially one of this magnitude—must be subject to full transparency and public oversight. Anything less is a betrayal of the trust placed in our leaders and institutions.
I urge immediate disclosure of all individuals and entities contributing to this project. The American people deserve to know who is funding this ballroom, what their motivations are, and whether their contributions come with strings attached.
Stop being lapdogs to a president who is completely compromised.
