RFK Jr. Lied Under Oath: Congress Must Demand His Resignation

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. swore under oath during his confirmation hearings that he would uphold science and not use his office to promote disinformation. His actions since have shown those promises to be false. In recent Senate testimony, Kennedy admitted to halting federal recommendations for COVID-19 vaccines for healthy children and pregnant women—directly contradicting his pledge to support vaccination. He simultaneously praised Operation Warp Speed while defending limits on access to mRNA vaccines, a glaring inconsistency that exposes his bad faith. Kennedy further denied established facts, claiming “nobody knows” how many Americans died from COVID-19, despite clear CDC and WHO data estimating roughly 1.2 million deaths. These contradictions are not mere misstatements; they are part of a deliberate campaign to erode trust in science and public health. Such conduct is disqualifying. Kennedy misled Congress to gain office, and he now uses that office to undermine the very mission of the Department of Health and Human Services. His betrayal of trust and disregard for evidence demand immediate accountability. Congress must hold additional hearings to confront Kennedy with his lies and contradictions. Then, for the protection of the nation’s health and the integrity of government, demand his resignation.
