The United States' vote against the UN resolution condemning Russia's war in Ukraine is a shocking betrayal of American values and interests. By aligning with Russia, the aggressor in this conflict, the administration has turned its back on our Ukrainian allies who have suffered immensely from this unprovoked invasion over the past three years. This decision undermines America's credibility and moral standing on the global stage. As my elected representative, I expect you to forcefully condemn this abdication of leadership and defend the principles of democracy, territorial integrity, and national sovereignty that Russia has violated. Remaining silent or passive in the face of such an egregious foreign policy failure is unacceptable. The American people demand accountability from our leaders when they fail to uphold their oath to protect the nation from all enemies. Concrete action must be taken to reassert American support for Ukraine and reverse this damaging policy reversal that emboldens authoritarians like Putin. Failure to act swiftly will cement this administration's shameful legacy of appeasement on the wrong side of history.
