I can’t even believe I have to write this and it hasn’t even been 30 days yet. Literally, I am disgusted and appalled by this blatant attack by the executive branch on our country.
I am writing to urge you to take immediate action to impeach President Donald Trump. His radical, unconstitutional actions since taking office for a second term have demonstrated a complete disregard for governance, the rule of law, and the Constitution he swore to uphold. His presidency has thrown the country into chaos, and Congress must act decisively to prevent further damage to our democratic institutions.
From the mass purge of inspectors general to dismantling crucial government agencies like USAID, Trump has systematically removed oversight and accountability, consolidating power in a way that threatens national security and the balance of powers. His decision to disband the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force is a blatant move to weaken our nation’s defenses against foreign adversaries, leaving the U.S. vulnerable to interference. His proposed takeover of Gaza, coupled with efforts to obstruct investigations and retaliate against officials, further showcases his reckless approach to governance.
Additionally, his administration’s push to politicize the federal workforce, his abuses of executive authority, and his dangerous rhetoric encouraging division all point to a leader who is not governing in the interest of the American people but rather seeking to consolidate unchecked power. These are not the actions of a president committed to the Constitution—they are the actions of someone who seeks to dismantle it for personal and political gain.
Congress has the duty to act as a check on the executive branch. Allowing Trump to continue down this path unchecked is not an option. The integrity of our democracy is at stake. I urge you to stand up for the rule of law and the Constitution by initiating impeachment proceedings immediately. The chaos must stop now.
