Restore "know your rights" legal orientation programs

I am writing today regarding the stop work order issued last week on the Legal Orientation Program, Immigration Court Helpdesk, Family Group Legal Orientation Program, and the Counsel for Children Initiative. These programs provide essential legal information to adults and children in immigration proceedings, such as their legal rights and what to expect when they appear in court. These programs have had longstanding bipartisan support and are critical to a fair and orderly immigration process. I ask that you call upon the Department of Justice to rescind the stop work order, as well as to restore access to program providers who have been barred from providing critical legal services at detention facilities. I value the fundamental right to due process, and hope that the you will act to protect these programs today.
