Trump's desecration of the White House is illegal. DO oversight. IMPEACHMENT NOW

Trump is desecrating the White House. He lied about the changes he would make. His remodeling of the White House is unlawful and based on lies—like almost every thing else he does and says. While presidents are allowed to make modifications to the interior living space of the White House, structural changes to the White House must be cleared through the National Capital Planning Commission (NCPC). No such clearance was obtained. Not for the demolition of part of the East Wing, not for the construction of an additional space that increases the size of the building by 60%. The White House does not belong Trump. He is behaving as if he expects to stay longer than 3 years. While modifications and modernization are necessary and appropriate from time to time, they are controlled by Congress and the NCPC (among other federal agencies). Trump suggests that he is exempt from that oversight because he is (allegedly) using “private” money to fund the demolition and new construction. Even if true, there is nothing in the existing oversight scheme that creates an exception for “privately funded” modifications to federal buildings in D.C. Trump is simply ignoring federal law and congressional oversight in desecrating “The People’s House.” He swore to uphold the law. He is breaking it. And desecrating a national monument. Reclaim the constitutional powers of Congress. Do oversight. Trump is not just desecrating the White House and overturning the law and constitution. He is ruling like a tyrant. He is treasonously using armed force against American citizens. He is spouting Putin's views and betraying our allies. Impeach Trump now.
